Some of the best barbecue in the area hands-down. Food is tremendous. The people are friendly and warm. The most disappointing thing I've ever experienced with the place was arriving when they were closed....so sad. Try the Alabama sauce!

I went in last Saturday and tried the 2 meat plate or combo with 2 sides. I ordered the ribs and whole chicken wings. With the Mac and cheese and hush puppies. The ribs were like shoe leather which surprised me bc I spent my summers in pinson, Alabama and no ones ribs ever fought me the way them ribs did lol. Its sad to say famous Dave's has way better ribs. Now the chicken wings had a good flavor to them I give a 5 on that and the hush puppies were good not hard to mess those up. The Mac n cheese was not great. But not the worst I have had just very dry. The service was amazing young lady brown hair and glasses. She was great! Very friendly. This would've been 03/21/26 around 3 to 4 p.m. but definitely dont waste ur money on the ribs. Worst experience ever with ribs. Sorry.

Wonderful little place that I accidentallt discovered. The brisket was tender and juicy. And the ribs were fantastic, with just enough chew to satisfy the primordial beast in me. Lots of places claim to be great BBQ, I'm happy to say Maude's exceeds that claim. Yum!

Pending review on recent order. I wasn't satisfied, and Olivia assured me that I would be made whole. My first ever visit maybe a year ago was great. Rib tips were nice, firm yet tender, and sauced just right. The cornbread was really good, the rest of the sides well, kinda blah. 2nd visit today 2024 the okra was amazing. Potato dippers were nice and hot, but there was no dip. I will update this review once Olivia and I get these burnt ends together. The service here is exceptional! The lady coloring in the lobby was amazing. Update: Olivia came through, as she promised. This time, the ends we're much better. A bit too much sauce for my taste. The burnt ends were tasty but didn't seem smoked to me. Ijs. Good nonetheless! Will I visit again; 🤔 yeah I will. Next time I'll try a pulled pork sandwich. I hear it's a bit of alright. I am going to include my before and after photos. The 1st 4 are before. The last 2 was after

Maude's Alabama BBQ is must eat at restaurant in the Flint metro! The wait in driving time to get to Maude's is worth it! The wait for your order is worth it! The BBQ reflects the flavors and recipes of Alabama. The offerings are what you expect and hope to find at a good BBQ joint! The BBQ sauce is flavorful and barely tips toward the sweet sweet side of scale. It is delightful on the pulled pork, chicken, brisket, and ribs. The portions are filling. The side dishes are varied and tasty! My favorite sides are the baked beans and fried okra! They sell their own seasoning mixes for chicken and pork. They have homemade desserts. They have their "Alabama White Sauce" for purchase. The restaurant is clean and brightly lit with several large windows. Note: they do not have a public restroom. The staff are efficient, friendly, and helpful! We live the staff. Maude's is located on Davison Rd. just east of Dort Highway. They have a location in Lapeer, which has been opened going on 2 years. I will be going back many times!
